The best kept secret in racing
is in Prescott Valley , AZ
YAVAPAI DOWNS.
About 3 1/2 hours from Las Vegas, NV(my residence)
one of the most enjoyable tracks to visit
nice scenery and a mix of qtr horse and t-breds.
Racing is 4 days a week, sat-tues
and held from memorial day weekend
through the day after labor day.
Only $2.50 admission on the weekends
mon/tues are free and the program is $2.
No charge for parking.
There is not a huge on site crowd
max has to be 500 fans.
The paddock is pretty nice with plenty
of up close views.
The only flaw is that there is no paddock tote board.
9 live races is usually the norm
which usually runs from 1 pm to 5:15 pm.
