Chippewa Downs will have live racing only 3 days this year - June 15, 20 and 21. Since it is not state sponsored, I do not know if there will be betting or not, but I am about 95% sure the track is located on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation, and that might make wagering legal irrespective of ND state sponsorship. There is a small casino on the Rez there and they have had simulcast wagering in the past (it's been a while since I've been there). If you are in the area and want to see, I guess, the "remains" of a racetrack, go 60 miles south to Fessenden, ND (state highway 30 south from Rolla to state highway 15, go west about 5 miles to Fessenden). Just to the NE of the highway is the Wells County Fairgrounds and the track and grandstand. They had live racing there through the nineties sometime, I believe.
