Posted by Terry Bjork What I do know is that when I visit the BC there I always try to stay a little outside town to get the cheaper motel price. There are some decent ones a few miles north in Indiana along I-65 that don't seem to raise their rates like the ones actually in Louisville. After that the cheap thing to do is park in the lot over by the Fair & Exhibition and take a shuttle bus. That's if you're driving.

I've always avoided the KY Derby because of the crowd.
