I used to run horses at the fair circuit in Massachusetts when there was Great Barrington, the Berkshire Fair, Marshfield, and Northampton. Now there is just Northampton and I don't run horses anymore, just go for the fun and atmosphere of the fair. It's sad that they no longer race at those fairs. Great Barrington tried it again a few years ago but lost money - something about not being able to get simulcasting - so they're done. I heard rumors about Marshfield maybe going to try racing again. Anybody know anything about that?
