Posted by Terry Bjork I have never sat in one of those finish line sections, which would be like Section C, but I would assume that would be the best, if you could get them. Those are mostly season box sections though. Probably $$$, too. Then from there, section D, section E, etc, to the right. I would not go with the sections past the finish line, A & B, as that is a bad angle. You do have a cool bar just upstairs, though. But crowded on Million Day, so won't do you much good. Tell you what I do is just buy the cheapest seats available which is usually section H, and they cost $15 (includes admission). You can see just fine, they aren't THAT far upstream from the finish, they generally aren't full so you aren't mobbed, and you are close to lots of wagering windows just inside. (Though not real close to food concessions, if that is important. But beer is close.) If it is your first time at AP you might want to try to get better than section H though. Just to say you did and impress the home folks. One thing to keep in mind is to not sit way down front. If it is a crappy day the roof won't protect you. If it is a hot sunny day you will be hot and sunny; no shade. So I generally try to pick a row that corresponds to about the crosspiece of the "H" in that seating chart. Last year I had Row H of Section H, and that was just about perfect for me. It is also 1/2 way between 2nd and 3rd floor inside, which can be useful. Good luck!
