Posted by Joan Turner I think this is a wonderful way to communicate with Lioness worldwide. We are having a lot of discussion in my district N5 in Australia re the future of the Lioness Movement. Lions would love us to transfer and become Lions Clubs but the girls in my club and the majority of other clubs (I believe in Australia) are happy to stay as Lioness. My position on MD Committee is Queensland Representative and I had the wonderful pleasure of being present at the formation of a new Lioness Club for Disabled Young People in Q3 last December. They are just delightful young people and so very keen. The Lioness in Queensland are very strong and wish to stay as they are. I will be attending a Break-a-way weekend in Queensland this coming weekend and I am really looking forward to this. We are still able to get our supplies from MD Office in Newcastle. NSW. We have 45 members in my club - Georges River Lioness Club, PO Box 7, Lugarno NSW Australia - and they are a wonderful group of ladies. We have a lot of fun whilst raising funds.
