Posted by Lenore Howard Thank you for your congratulations and your kind message. Sorry I have taken so long to reply. I formed a new Lioness club called the "Keperra Kings Lioness Club" in December 2001, with 12 members both male and female. The club is "specific category" young adults with disabilities. We will be inducting a new member at our July meeting. They are a delightful group of young people, so full of enthusiasm to learn about Lionism, we are busy supporting our sponsoring Lions club with their projects, we will be venturing into new projects of our own in this new year. I have a network of "Social Workers" and people who specialise in the field of Disabilites who assist and guide me with the club. We meet at the respite centre owned by a church group called "Uniting Care" they provide the venue free of charge. I am a member of Golden Valley Keperra Lioness Club, the sister club to the Keperra Kings, in my club we have 19 members with 2 new members being inducted in July. We have been operating for 24 years. We still have 3 of our charter members still active in the club. As you probably read from other messages, in Queensland and the rest of Australia we are very dedicated and committed to the Lioness Programme. The area that I live in is approximately 12 kms from the city of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, Australia. I am married, with 3 married children and 4 grand-children. Thank you once again for your message, please keep in touch. Lioness Lenore Howard
