I'm afraid that not only is it an exaggeration, it is one-dimensional to the point of superficiality. The power structures that allow elites to dominate politics and keep the population marginalised are highly complex and multifaceted. The media is a key component of that, especially in a relatively open society, but it remains one component amongst many. It is simply a bold and entirely unproven assertion to say that it is "THE" component upon which all others depend. Capital letters don't make that any less so.
And btw., even if the above assertion were true, it would not excuse your accusation that I was "pretending" to have written the article in the way I did for the reasons that I gave. Nor would it excuse your saying that it was your "job" to "expose" this alleged pretence on my part. And nor would it excuse the insinuation that I had written the article for status and other "rewards". All ugly remarks made, it must be said, without one solitary shred of evidence.
