Your remarks were not general. Their aim was specific. My article, and the reasons I gave for why I chose to write what I wrote were, in your words

This after saying how you "chuckled" at the fact that I'd failed to write the article as you would have written it.
Whether a line is drawn under remarks like this is, I would suggest, rather down to those who are making them and who are now, apparently, unwilling to take responsibility for them.
