'A warship built with steel salvaged from the World Trade Center has arrived in New York City.
The USS New York sailed up the Hudson River to near Ground Zero, where it fired a 21-gun salute in tribute to those killed in the 2001 attacks'.

That is pretty cynical.
Firstly, in that it insiduously implies that the right and only possible response to the 9/11 attacks was a military one.
And secondly, because I can't think of a less appropiate way to remember the victims of mass murder than by creating a machine designed to partake in or facilitate mass murder itself.
