I agree. The interviewer spent more time talking than Chomsky himself. Even when he allowed his guest to speak, he could barely conceal his lack of interest in Chomsky's answer and seemed merely to be waiting for a few token seconds before presenting his next question.
Still, no-one can say that the BBC never allows dissidents any airtime. They've ticked the Chomsky box for another few years, you can't get them on that.
It's a pity, other Chomsky interviews I've seen on the BBC have been much better. The debate with Andrew Marr is an immortal classic and there was also a very good interview with Francine Stock a few years ago (in which she allowed her guest to do most of the talking).
