When assessing the address of Colin Powell to the UN, Paxman only had to consult his own BBC news archive. There, he would have seen Powell denying that Saddam presented any danger to the USA, only a few months earlier.
This demonstrates how vital it is for the media manipulators to keep control of the BBC archive, and not to put it on-line for licence fee-payers to consult for themselves.
