Hello Warren, My heart goes out to your boss' wife and their family and to you as well. I am also very new to this whole experience, my best friend was diagnosed last Tuesday. Being the trooper she is, she has already found me a book about supporting your mate with breast cancer. I also found a site with 10 tips for providing support. I am not at my regular computer now so I can't find the link. The next few days are going to be hell for my friend and all those whose lives she has touched but I will try to get the name and author of the book to you in another post when I have the info. For now, let your boss know you care and are willing to help but be careful not to insert yourself into situations without being asked to help. This will be a very hard time for your boss' family and there will be a lot of emotion going on. Continue to offer your help. You might even have a discussion with your boss and articulate your concern that they might appreciate your help but be reluctant to ask. Read his response to that comment and base your offers to help on his answer/reaction. Good Luck
