Thanks for the additional information. We are not presently married but we have discussed this extensively and made a lifelong committment to each other long before the possibility of cancer loomed. I know a lot of people probably pour out all kinds of emotion professing their love in situations like this, but our relationship has been the most intimate connection either of us has ever experienced. We have both marvelled at the wonderful depth of it. We have also acknowledged the need to value it and do things to keep our relationship special. I am secure in knowing that she loves me, it's just that neither of us have experienced how cancer affects relationships. I know there will be emotions running VERY high and also very low and all I want is for her to have a long lofe and for us to be together when treatments are behind us. I love her.
