Hi. I'm new here, just discovered this site today. I hope this is an appropriate place to ask this question. My wife was diagnosed in August with a recurrence to her liver, lungs, and ribs (original dx was in 2003 stage 2b). She's been told she has maybe a few months to live and she should get her affairs in order. Our kids are 7 and 5 and we haven't told them yet. My question is when should we tell them, and how? My wife doesn't want them to know yet. She's been in the hospital for 4 of the last 6 weeks, and we just tell the kids that she's not feeling well. We're going to have to tell them soon because she's going downhill fast. Any advice on how to tell them? I can't bear the thought of telling them they're going to lose their mother. How do we do that? Appreciate any advice. Thanks.
