Oh my god, this is so sad Deanna... they don't know what it is. Hang onto that - maybe they'll figure it out.
When the time comes for you and your dad to figure out what's right for your mom, you guys will do just fine Deanna. Sounds like she wants to live and fight, but doesn't want 'heroic' measures and you know what that is going to mean. My poor sister, the nurse, is everyone's living will, poor woman, but I have every confidence in her, and in you, ultimately to do whatever is right. You WILL do the right thing Deanna, whatever that may be.
There's no way to 'do' this. This happens and all you can do is endure. Know that we care, you are surrounded by care.
