I didn't actually do all that much with supplements, some stuff, but not a lot. I hope I didn't mislead you. For me, wellness was also spiritual, I found a lot of comfort and I believe a whole lot of healing in meditative practices and prayer. Not in the wish-granting sense, but in the peacefulness of the practice giving my body and mind a break from stress and an opportunity to just let it be. My point was more - the doctors were kind of like mechanics - mysterious and knowledgeable about the mysteries they knew about but they didn't know about ME. That was my specialty.
On supplements, by and large my primary oncologist was all about 'do whatever you want, except for 24 hours before and 48 hours after chemo, give me those three days, you take the other 18' as he didn't want any blockage of the chemo effect. Seemed fair to me. He did of course want to know WHAT it was you wanted to do. My guy actually had a reasonable amount of knowledge about supplements and nutrition though.
