If the Advocate is to be believed, and I think it can be, the mayor did it. If she won't resign the public ought to recall her. Period. Insofar as the council is concerned it is all but impossible to get pillars of the community to run for office so we get what we get. Over the years I have seen some real empty suits run for office and get elected. Is there way to get better candidates? I really don't know how. How say you?
It seems self-evident that any public official who is guilty of fraud out to be summarily thrown out of office.
