So again I ask you, what is the sign of Jonas? Is it a miracle? Is it a resurrection? Is it a message? Perhaps it is all of the above. Is it a messenger which God from time to time has seen fit to use to evangelize a wicked world into repentance?
Perhaps, as Jonah was sent by a whale to an wicked nation who worshipped the fish-god (Ashur?) who was half man and half fish to proclaim the truth of Jah’, and likewise it would be Christ, who would be sent into the world to the Roman empire, proclaiming the truth of the mercies and judgments of Jah’ to the Jews in an empire of Romans who worshipped the sun-god Mithros who was reported to have been born of a Virgin about 300 BC. Maybe it was a messenger, but more pertinent, what is it today? What is the sign of Jonas? If it is a messenger, who is he? What is his message? Who is his message to?
The following are commonly taught of Jonah, no matter what denomination you choose:
Jonah was a Prophet of Israel
He prophesied against Assyria about 775 BC
Assyria would defeat the northern kingdom of Israel about 722 BC.
Assyria would be spared from during Jonah’s prophesy but would return to their wicked ways and later be destroyed about 612 BC.
These should be considered as well
The prophet Nahum, a prophet of Judah whose name literally means “consoler” prophesied against Nineveh as well, about a hundred years or so after Jonah, after the city of Nineveh had backslidden from their revival, and just years later would come the destruction of the Assyrian empire by Babylon.
In the time of Christ, as recorded in Matthew, he made reference to the prophecies of Daniel, which were mostly fulfilled against Babylon, in reference to Israel Rome in a future time.
In 70 AD, most of the prophecies of Christ were fulfilled as Rome surrounded Jerusalem, and after a time of waiting, impatiently stormed the city, laying siege and destroying the city, its occupants and the temple.
For over a hundred and fifty years preachers across this continent have pointed back to the prophecies of Christ, Daniel, John the Revelator, and projected these prophecies which were once fulfilled already or at least mostly fulfilled, if only in type, to a time “yet” to come.
To a spiritual resurrection of the Babylonian Empire, via a physical resurrection of the Roman Empire, just as the Israelites who were off just far enough in their interpretation of prophecy nailed Christ to the cross, were close enough to recognize the sign of the times heralding his arrival, so much to the point that they aroused Herod’s attention to the point that he slew all the firstborn Jewish children across the land.
John the revelator wrote of a land which was called Jerusalem and was spiritually called Sodom and Egypt. He also wrote of a New Jerusalem.
Preachers all across this land had no problem in spiritually calling this land “Babylon” during the 70’s and 80’s when I attended services as a child. But now that these same prophecies which once scared members into the pews and money into the plates actually seem to be fulfilling themselves, they seem quite agitated, as though the have been awaiting the arrival of God’s profits, rather than God’s prophets.
During World War two, Victor Houteff correctly prophesied the return of Israel to a nation, at least several years before the event transpired in 1948. It is written in copyrighted literature. Some would argue that perhaps this was just keen insight, and perhaps it was, but he also expounded on a small book of the Bible, showing that the world was where it was during the prophesies of Nahum. These same passages show that America is in the same position as ancient Assyria.
In 1993, I saw an article in the Fayetteville Newspaper from the associated press entitled “Sinful Messiah” as I read, for a moment I said “he’s come back” then I hesitated as I read on, and I watched intently with the rest of the world during those 51 days and I prayed. I wondered who this man I read about was, and I wondered if the accusations were true. Unlike many who accept everything the see and hear on television and in the news as fact I would go to investigate for myself, I would make inquiry, and God would open my eyes and teach me the Bible as it was written.
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH THEN YOU NEED TO ACCEPT
THE FACT THAT YOU ARE GOING TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR
WHAT YOU DO WITH IT,
NOW WOULD BE THE TIME TO STOP
READING AND GO NO FURTHER IF YOU PREFER NOT TO KNOW ANYMORE,
BUT IF YOU HAVE A HEART TO HEAR AND YOU WANT TO
KNOW THE TRUTH OF THESE TIMES THEN CONTINUE READING.
THIS Message will be continued in three E-mails.
The first will address popular interpretation of Prophetic Doctrine, a particular aspect of the interpretation which is preached across this land and why it is a fallacy. I will prove to you from the Scriptures, taken in context, and according to the rules of the English language that point to the fact that the church is going through the tribulation, that rapture which is the escape clause of many will not happen until the end of “the time of Jacobs’ Trouble.”
“ ,at the last trump.” I Corinthians 15:52
and as well, when this raptural event happens at the last trump as scripture teaches and not the first as is taught across this land, at that time those raptured will not disappear mysteriously as is commonly taught, but rather the world will see it happen, they will view the event and they will tremble.
I will show you by reasoning from the scripture, that while we are to pray for the Kingdom to be established, we should not desire the day of the Lord, according to the books of Joel and Hosea which teach that the inhabitants of the land should “tremble at the day of the Lord,” and promises “Woe, unto him that desireth the day of the Lord, for what profit is it unto you, it is a day of darkness and not light and there is no light in it.”
I have been kicked out of churches, homes, and even run off from at least one town for preaching the truth, so consider diligently as to whether or not you want to know. As well there will be consequences of not knowing, “but those days shall come upon them like a thief.” One friend who had once persecuted me greatly in the early days of all these visions, but throughout the years has been witness to a vast number of them, just recently in the past couple of years brought me a great amount of comfort to realize he had been paying attention all along, as he told me, “ Steve, I get this stuff too, but I don’t tell people because I see what they do to you.” Every insult I ever tolerated, every jest, every embarrassing moment when I had to swallow my pride to present the truth knowing how it would be received was worth it all in that moment. But these are only the beginnings of sorrows and consider the words of Christ quite literally as they are reported in the new testament in Matthew 19:28-30
19:28 And Je’sus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon the twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
19:29 And everyone that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my names sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
And again in John 12 verse 25
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his
life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
