Baruch,
You haven't answered the last question that was asked of you here on this board.
It was aksed in earnest, and in a Spirit of seeking the truth.
If it was considered impolite, then I apologize.
In reflection, I saw the possibility that it may have been, by virtue of syntax.
I was not trying to ignore already stated points in your post. There seems to be a discrepency of the details of the meaning of the Name "Koresh" even amongst the survivors, all though a similiar accounting seems to be implied by the nature in which each point was explained, though only one offered direct testimony, and I am awaiting an answer of the second. Whom by the way, as does yourself, presents the name to mean "Death" but again, from a point which left questions, to which I researched thoroughly before presenting, to insure they were Valid. It was suggested that the name in Aramaic means "Death" and a marker for such was referenced to the use of the name "Cyrus" in Daniel 10:2. Daniel wrote his book in both Hebrew and Aramaic. I am not saying he wrote two copies. I am saying that all sources I can find point that Daniel chapter one and a few verses of chapter 2, as well as Chapters 8 through 12 were written in Hebrew and not Aramaic. Chapters 3 through 7 and most of Chapter two were written in Aramaic. It was suggested that portions were written in Hebrew to remain possibly secretive, but obviously in a spirit of directing attention soley to the Jews.
This as the Persian Kings who ruled over the Jews, Used Aramaic and Chaldee languages extensively.
I spent quite some time researching this, and have found that nowhere in any existing use of the Aramaic portions of Daniel, is the word "Death" even used in the Aramaic Text. There were words that came close, but eliminated themselves as such according to the syntax in the transliteration. Again however we are dealing with Daniel 10:2 and it's use of the word "Cyrus" which was in Hebrew and does mean
"The Last Time" I do not know what the word Death in Aramaic is, only that it is not used in Daniel 10. And that Aramaic was a lost language and it's use today is disputed amongst even Scholars as to actual verses Implied interpretations. Some is known of the language...but it leaves room for dispute.
Baruch, you stated that you had an experience in which the Name Koresh was spoken to you and it's meaning explained...I ask you again, restating to remain Polite as I can...Please, Baruch, tell me the details of this, your testimony in the matter. Are you literally his child? One of the children sent out during the Siege, or rescued perhaps on April 19th? Are you one of the Actual Survivors? One of the prisoners perhaps?
And if you answer no other...please will you tell me in detail from a testimonial standpoint, how you came to know this name to mean "Death"? I get the syntax of your post the last time I asked such. What I was trying to ask in politeness was the details...where were you when your "Father" spoke the name into your forehead?
What was Spoken? The acutal words?
You have a history on this board, which could percieved as less than polite. I offered you the benefit of the doubt, I kept my word to you and followed through. I do not deny you have had some sort of spiritial encounter, I only request the details of such. I do not consider my request to be impolite, dishonest nor irrelavent. Quite the contrary, it is very relavent.
