On that note...A word rightly spoken, is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
Proverbs 26
1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.
Honor to a fool? This not to say it does not happen, just that it is unlikely.
Honor, is not seemly for a fool. Neither is Snow in summer or rain in harvest...but those things do happen...they just aren't seemly, and it troublesome and unusual to experience such. Snow in July, has happened...and it cause for attention...rain in harvest...cause for alarm. So to see a fool honored...is noteworthy but troublesome.
2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
Birds wander, swallows fly. Such is the natural discourse of things. And when a curse comes, there is always a reason. Often those in judgement go through a period of denail, placing themselves as victims, and their situations as circumstantial...but it is only when they see themselves as convicts...as having been found guilty that they may come to the first step of healing...to turn from their wicked ways, and confess thier sins that God will hear, and turn away his wrath and heal thier lands. Unfortunately some still will not turn to God...and they, in bitterness, anger, rebellion or one or more of these reasons refuse to repent. But when the curse comes, they will know, there will no doubt...and when they cry out to the rocks to fall upon them and slay them...their cry will not be to find mercy from an imposter but to hide them from the face of "Him that sitteth on the throne." He will come. When he does, they will know before ever he arrives, "WHY" such an event is occurring.
3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.
Whips and bridles....they are not just instruments to bring these animals into submission. They are not necessarily instruments of torture employed by abusive owners of the same to be implemented in cruelty to animals. They are...TRAINING TOOLS.
Foolishness, we have some level of it. Some more than others, so much so, that they are branded by the word "Fool,"
Which by the way,(branding) was warned of with a curse by Christ himself to those who say "Raca" that is "thou Fool" to thier brother. Foolishness...is the thing of youth, of childhood...it is a parents duty to discipline a child with a rod to drive out such. No doubt I will be criticized for such a statement...to which I say...."COLUMBINE." Such is the results of a nation who vere away from the law of God, who turn their ears away from hearing his law, and offer prayers in abomination.
