(contd from last post)
So as we note the timelines in this, we bear in mind that this coming weekend, as most of Christenedom celebrates "EASTER SUNDAY" and while that day will be the day of the "WAIV SHEAF" offering, in this year, the anniversary of Christ's ressurection will not FALL ON A SUNDAY AT ALL! And as MOST of the "Christian" world celebrates Easter, noting the Ressurection of Christ, they will have missed observing the ANNIVERSARY of his Resurrection by at least a couple days!
So, looking to Scripture above tradition, we note NOW, this timeframe, THIS DAY, to be a day of Rest, likewise the normal Weekly Sabbath, and next week, from SUNSET NEXT MONDAY until SUNSEST Next TUESDAY will likewise be a day of Rest...so
anybody need a day off from Work Next week?
Let's continue with Exodus Chapter 12
17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
Okay, now a timeframe is given in scripture to this event, one which should transcend even HEBREW tradition...from Even of 14 Nissan/Abib until even of 21 Nissan/Abib. And lest you think you need not observe this...let's see what is said in the very next verse:
19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
Pretty strong Warning don't you think. So I think now to recent advice given with regards of removing leavened products and to one group noting them to bind the products in a black bag,
"OUT OF SIGHT" and not to actually discard such.
SO, was my counsel true? Hmmm, careful how you answer...I tell you it may be that NONE Of us should concern oursleves with this in the future..."MAY BE"...not saying anything concrete, but asking again, as to my counsel...
"WAS I SPEAKING IN TRUTH?"
20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
OKAY, THIS VERSE IS KEY to answering the question I posed earlier...see who it is who is commanded in the next passage to make these observances...
24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
So, are you JEWISH, of HEBREW DESCENT? If not, this ordinance is NOT FOR YOU by Mandate. Not by the letter of the law, but we then concern ourselves to our present timeframe. We concern ourselves of a warning given of Christ recorded in the Book of Matthew to the Pharisees that the Kingdom would be taken from them and given to another PEOPLE who love and KEEP G-d's Law. We see this in Matthew 21:43 as this nation to whom the promise to be taken from the Pharisees will be given, the Promise of the Kingdom of God, will be a nation who brings forth the FRUIT of the same, of the Kingdom of God. In such recognition we further note the timeframe of those who Stand on Zion in Revelation 14:1 to concern themselves, having a Testimony of Christ, to a Keeping of G-d's Law.
So, while on the one hand we see one group addressed who need not destroy ANY of thier food stocks, we see the same, already concerned with the warnings of the Spirit to find themselves in such position, this now becomes bonus. But to those who fall in the next group, I urge you to consider God is not beyond Cutting People off from the chosen group of a particular day for thinkning themselves beyond his warnings, written or not. ANCIENT, or not.
