Sister of David Koresh's slain mother indicted

ATHENS, Texas (AP) - The aunt of infamous Branch Davidian David Koresh has been indicted on a murder charge in the stabbing death of her older sister, the sect leader's mother.
The murder indictment against 54-year-old Beverly Clark was returned Tuesday by a Henderson County grand jury, the Athens Daily Review and Tyler Morning Telegraph reported. Clark is accused in the January death of 60-year-old Bonnie Clark Halderman.
Beverly Clark remains jailed. Her attorney didn't immediately return a phone call.
Authorities responding to a 911 call found Halderman in Clark's home near Chandler, about 175 miles north of Houston.
In 1993, Koresh and dozens of followers died when their standoff with authorities ended in a fire that consumed their compound.
