I spoke to Ron yesterday evening. He notes that he was born a Jew, but not raised one. It was only a couple of years ago that he actually began to learn about these calendar considerations himself.
I began composing an answer into these matters, a detailed explaination beyond the confusion of it all last night. I worked on it for sometime before going to bed, but it remains unfinished. I will begin posting it later, and may even wait to let it serve as a Sabbath Study.
As well Clive pointed me towards material offered by Victor Houteff into this subject which I have yet to investigate.
I can tell you that some groups began observances on Tuesday at Sunset, others on Wednesday at Sunset, others began observances last night, and yet others will begin tonight.
To one just becoming familiar to all of this it sets the stage for a lot of confusion. Adding to this is doctrinal observances as well.
For instance "RESSURRECTION DAY" as a memorial of Christs Ressurrection could fall as far as 6 days away from the anniversary date of his death, yet he only spent 3 nights and 3 days in the heart of the earth. So then...even more to consider.
Clive made a statement quoting Ellen White about the timeframe of these events as well.
Don't worry too much about it, if you don't know by now, chances are you have already violated certain things already, don't dismiss it, just don't worry too much about it right now. I have no doubt the Spirit has seen to protecting the faithful from even themselves.
You may note that on Tuesday I used Chicken in place of Lamb, not totally unaccepatable even being the wrong meat, but the manner in which I cooked it...boiled.."SODDEN WITH WATER" was a clear violation of Scripture for such an event, but then had the event even began yet? I mean truly? Interestingly enough, Wednesday, I was invited to eat supper with a neighbor, BROILED CHICKEN...cooked the right way! I took my own herbs and unleavened bread.
So, did I keep Seder or not? Well, I guess you will have to wait for the rest of this to be posted.
