Well, I don't have to tell you I monitor this stuff. I noted before Jacksonville Florida Flooded with those record setting floods last month, that I had been instructed of the Spirit to call your attentions to both OREGON and JACKSOVILLE. I noted that there was a Jackonville Oregon, but I had been instructed to point to you There are several JACKSONVILLE locales. Soon after, well, we saw what happened in Florida, and wiping out the Potato crop. IN the following week, forcasters were monitoring a tropical system that had potential to become the 'FIRST NAMED" storm of the season off the coast of NC/SC. That, despite the fact that a "no Name storm" the week prior brought worse flooding than any tropical storm on record for that time of the year...2 weeks earlier than Hurricane Season. Following that, and prior to the storm which brought attention to the NC coastline, and by the way, the only part of that storm which never "OFFICIALLY" became a tropical Storm which hit land, did so at THE OUTER BANKS OF NC, and skirted JACKSONVILLE NC. But anyway prior to that, a second "NO NAME STORM" hit Mississippi and at least one official at the Weather Channel declared it to actually have been a Tropical Storm and seemed amiss as to why it was not given proper attention.
Now at this time, in the last few days, lighting and what is being called "FREAK STORMS" bring unusually heavy rain to California for this time of year have caused several fires, many in Los Angeles. But in the same timeline, NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, and SOUTHERN OREGON have been dealing with FLOODING and Flash Flooding.
2 Counties in Eastern Oregon are under advisories as the BOISE river is nearing flood stage, that would be the same river that runs through IDAHO...aren't they known for basketballs? No, I think it's potatoes...
Anyway, 2 COUNTIES in Southern Oregon are actually dealing with Flash flooding, not just warnigns, but actuall events...one of them...JACKSON County, which is home to Jacksonville Oregon. This is the first time in TWO YEARS Jacksonville has dealt with Flood warnigns being given. The last time was in 2007, and it occurred within weeks of my giving warnigns to my email group for Flooding in Orgeon in the late fall. I received emails from Oregon from those sending me local headlines after having witnessed firsthand visons given them come to pass.
I would not be surprised if a storm with heavy winds and tornadic activity struck Eastern Texas and moved through Arkansas in the next week or two. Not saying it will, just noting concerns for Arkansas have been stated and remain, and there is indeed a Jacksonville Texas. Last year, we saw the path projected by the NWS for Gustav to make landfall and finally dissapate inland to end at Jacksonville Texas.
