The Shofar has Sounded here in NC.
Happy Sabbath.
As I begin to write, is just about 9 PM. Give or take a few minutes one way or the other, a couple after I think.
I just got off the phone a few minutes before Sunset with Ron Goins in Waco. He was visiting Clive. He has been helping me in searching for a place in Waco. We have discussed becoming roomates whenever I finally make it there.
I told Ron I was outside with the Shofar, as I do each week, watching the sunset. I would ask your prayers, there is a potential way this may be expedited as I have about 11 grand in an account with a lawyer. It may be that I will never see this money, as Medicaid has gone after it, so my lawyer told me months ago. Yet when I spoke to them recently, they noted the money is still in there account. This about 2 months after they appealed with Medicaid not to take the money. SO I am kinda thinking, "ya know, if Medicaid refused, it would seem they would have demanded the money by now, so, the fact that it is still in the lawyers hands..." well, it makes me wonder. I intend to speak to them next week about it, but do remember me in your prayers. IF the money is released, I have already arranged with Palm Harbor homes in Waco to pay a $5000 deposit on a land home package with a used doublewide on 2 acres of land, or something similiar. I was telling all this to Ron as well, and as I saw the sun about to set, I said goodbye.
Ron, said to me as he got off the phone..."Shabbat Shalom." You may recall my addressing such last Sabbath in the person of the Kung Fu instructor who has accepted me as his student. Ron, is also Jewish. He was not raised "as a Jew" according to his testimony. It seems a good many Jews are actually agnostic.
Ron is of a type of Jew who can trace his hertiage to Abraham. At least that is what they say. Ron has told me some interesting things about Judaism. Clive likewise.
Anyway, I seem to be using the phrase "Shalom" often these days. It is proper to use such in greeting at the beginning of the conversation, and to end it likewise in some cultures. I use it in addressing my SI-FU.
I formulated an exit strategy this week. I figured up that 160 hours at Minimum wage in addition to one months disability payment, would give me that I need. My goal was for July to leave. Such was the case last year as well. I don't know if it will happen, but I am working on it. I was hired on to Taco Bell today. They called yesterday, I have worked for them before, here in NC as a crew member part time while in college full time, and prior in Texas as a Shift Manager. I told Clive last night, it would go one of two ways, either they would expedite my becoming a shift manager here, in which case, it would be 2 to 3 months before I left, as in from NOW forward, that I may transfer straight into a shift management Position in Waco, and be better grounded upon arrival, or, if they were going to make me start all the way at the bottome again, then I would treat them as a means to an end. I think such is mutual, as they fired 5 people this week, so they can use some help. But, they are indeed going to make me start at the bottom again, so my focus is to acquire the funds for the trip. I figured Minimum wage at 160 hrs would give me about 1,100 or 1,200 dollars, and with my regular check I could leave. I have found a camper I am going to acquire, as it will be cheaper than a U-Haul and I will still have something to show for the money upon arrival, and it will have use in the future. The hours they are starting me with look part time, though I was hired for a full time position, so maybe it will pick up in a couple weeks. At any rate, it looks like AUGUST minimum before I leave.
Interestingly enough, last year, I told Wendi there were several items I wished to acquire before leaving NC to goto Waco, all my Art Supplies and Graphic Design equipement, including some very expensive software, enough Kung Fu equipment to train 2 people, and I had a an old trailer not much bigger than a camper, it was an oil field bunkhouse, but it's gone. So now it seems with the small money I got a while back, I spent about 2 grand on Graphic Design equipment, I just got another Punching bag gym this week, and a kung Fu dummy-- A MOOK YAN JONG, and this is of no effort of my own, it just seems that gradually all those things I felt I would need to have upon arrival, which simply were not there last year, seem to be being brought my way. It's kind of like seeing it all Start to COME together if you know what I mean.
Depending on it's usage, Shalom, can also be a BLessing, as well as a Greeting, or a prayer for Peace as I understand it. So whether you prefer "SHABBAT SHALOM" or "Happy Sabbath", to all coming here in earnest search of the Truth of JAH' and his righteousness, I pray you find it, and Happy Sabbath....
