February 23, 1861: The Baltimore Plot was an alleged conspiracy to assassinate President-elect Abraham Lincoln en route to his inauguration. Allan Pinkerton, eponymous founder of the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, played a key role by managing Lincoln's security throughout the journey. Though scholars debate whether or not the threat was real, clearly Lincoln and his advisors believed that there was a threat and took actions to ensure his safe passage through Baltimore.

have frequent articles in the Review and Herald (now the Adventist Review) and other church publications which were a unifying influence to the beginning church.

The assassination of Abraham Lincoln took place on Good Friday, April 14, 1865, at approximately 10:15 p.m. President Abraham Lincoln was shot by actor and Confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth while attending a performance of Our American Cousin at Ford's Theatre with his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, and two guests. The president died the following morning—April 15, 1865—at 7:22 a.m., in the home of William Petersen.

THE SDA would be formed in 1863 and the Very FIRST General Conference Session of Seventh Day Adventists would occur in 1865. James White would suffer a Paralytic stroke in 1865, and would eventually determine that he should retire from the ministry. In 1880 he would be replaced as the President of the General Conference.
During the summer of 1881, White came down with a fever and was taken to the Battle Creek Sanitarium. Despite the efforts of Dr. Kellogg, White died on 1881-08-06.
THE SDA would for a time, stand as a denomination
as a Witness to the world, but like many before it would grow corrupt and leave the TRUE principals of it's inception, to embrace a power structure above the fundamentals of it's roots.

James White Died in 1881. This would be pivotal as the SDA as a Movement would begin to distance itself from the
truth and the INTSTITUTION would be elevated above the foundation.
After 1882 Ellen White was assisted by a close circle of friends and associates. She employed a number of literary assistants who would help her in preparing her writings for publications. She also carried on an extensive correspondence with church leaders. She then traveled to Europe on her first international trip. Upon her return she promoted E. J. Waggoner and A. T. Jones, young ministers, in preparation for a more Christ-centered theology for the church. When church leaders resisted her counsel on various matters, she was sent to Australia as a missionary.
