It is Sabbath. 1.43 in the am. As you read this, the week has passed
into the next Sabbath.
THe shofar sounded many hours ago. I was going to place pics of my
property, but
was moved via request of the another moved by the Spirit not to, and then
confirmed so of the Spirit, reminded of things told me prior to leaving N.C.
of the Spirit. I will place pics of the inside. I will describe for
you verbally
though an experience as I watched the sunset this eve.
There are no street lights here, very rural, a handful of neighbors,
and miles from town.
As the sun drops in the sky, in the last ten or fifteen minutes of
light, the trees
become blackened silouhettes against the last vestiges of daylight.
At night, they are equally blackened silouhettes against the night
sky, but the moon
lights the ground. As I watched the sunset, I praised Jah'. I set a
daily task or set
of tasks to perform around the place. Yesterdays (friday) tasks were
focused on the yard.
I have about a 1/2 acre lot, maybe less, according to my dad, but I
estimate it to be more
like 2/3 of an acre, pretty large anyway. and the only homestead on my
road, period.
No random gunshots, no yelling of drug dealers and such, just an
occaisional hoot owl,
or in times past I have heard coyotes baying at the moon not far out.
The canopy of stars
at night is so beautiful. It's quiet, birds chirp. Long I have
anticipated such silence.
I think of this, watch the gradation in the sky change from hue to
hue, light blues and yellows
to deep yellows and orage reds, orange reds to crimson and purple all
fading to night blue and
black as the evening canopy slowly creeps overhead, moving over my
shoulders from my back,
making way to my forward periphial range, as light fades. I note my
front door, as in N.C.
faces North. I hear the faint thump of a distant stereo off in the
distance, Friday in the
country, still, it is very faint, not enough to hear in the house,
certainly not enough
to rattle the walls afar off like some of the cars that use to cruise the hood.
In the last minutes of daylight, I see no more sun, just a orange,
purple-reddened horizon and
the last effervescent rays of light around the silouhetted trees like
a halo, reminding
me of the divine, of the nature of our origins, again to that light
which obeyed The voice of
God in Creation, that light which shone for several days, before ever
there was the sun, moon
or stars created days later on day four, the light of JAH', Shekinah,
the light of God.
Still she shines, yet so many are oblivious, I myself at times am
reminded of her at sunset on
any given day, but particularly on Sabbath.
I think of these many Sabbaths we have shared together. The math of a
144,000 in this current
global census shows 1 in sixty thousand, and helps on some level to
understand in our locales how
isolated we are, how scattered, but while scattered, we are not alone,
we have each other.
I long to be in the position to post a live Sabbath greeting, but take
comfort to post and read as
I can, and in knowing you get it, and we share that while scattered,
while few if not alone in our
respective locales to others of like minded sympathies and hearts for
the truths God has revealed to
us, we are by the click of a post, not truly alone, and if only for a
few moments of reading, posting
and or responding, we are able to enjoy the fellowship of others,
communion of those who share
desire for fellowship, but a greater desire for fellowship founded
with those in truth and not
in having to hide our positions, our beliefs, and We feel the touch if
only by a keyboard of others,
but we feel it in truth, and I Am praying for you, and thank you for
your many prayers for me,
God haste the day, when we shall stand together as one, in person, but
until then...Happy Sabbath,
I thank God for my many blessings, I thank God for you...Can you hear
it...it was hours ago for me
here in Texas...still the silent evening is pierced by the sound of
the shofar....Happy Sabbath.
This week, and next as I post this via proxy to the next weeks Sabbath
Greeting...Happy Sabbath.
