Okay, today started simiiliar to yesterday, study started about 11 am.
I take my Bible, a notebook and at this time a book I am reading
about the bible, and I take my breakfast outside to a concrete table
under the shade of several trees which add to the grove on the
adjacent property to make a nice cool spot for most of the day, but
certainly the morning. My dogs join me and run and play in the outer
yard outside the kennel which connects to the house and runs down most
of the home’s front side. This morning, Train wreck ate some apples
with me. I find the dog amazing at times, and he loves fruit.
Actuallly he will eat anything he sees me eat. I treat the dog as a
son, and he considers himself such. A sister of mine once pointed
such out, noting that the dog did not realize he was a dog because of
the way I treat him, and due to his massive size, and as he plays with
other children as though he were one, he needed to be made aware he is
a dog, to understand his power, and that he could easily hurt a child,
that in certain situations, he did not have the right to act like a
child, but must be what he is, a dog, and must restrain himself so.
She was right, and he learned the lesson, one I took an entire year to
teach him, but today, his like big child most of the times, except
when he is in bodyguard or guarddog mode.
Like sons who adore their fathers, they often want to be like them,
and I felt for a long time, and still do, that much of his willingness
to try foods dogs would not normally be seen eating, is due to his
admiration of me, and seeing me eat them. But I gotta tell you, the
dog, really, and I mean really loves Fruit. Especially grapes, the
white ones, and when they are really cold. But he really likes fruit,
apples, oranges, pineapple, he loves some more than others and will
sit and beg for it, but he really likes it.
I threw and apple peale on the ground, and forgot he likes apples, he
went and searched it out, and I seen him pick it up and eat it. I
apologized, as I usually give him slices, and always the cores, and I
then did. My mind was transported for a moment to the very opening
verses in the first chapters of Genesis which note a time when even
the animals would be vegetarians, a thought most could not envision.
It’s easy to envision a big ol masculine dog like Trainwreck enjoying
a juicy blood red steak, but an APPLE?
You can now, that I have shown you such, and in the light I have done
so, but normally, the thought of animals being vegetarians seems like
transformation against current nature and in current timeframe
unfathomable. I thought also of the command to mankind of every herb
bearing tree being meat for us and the manner in which we were
instructed such in Genesis one, to placing us in the position not only
to make a choice between fleshen meat, and herbal meat, but as well,
right and wrong during the time of that early stage in that earth
age.
