Well, it is Friday afternoon, and has been a busy week. I was feeling
pressed to step up a course of action which required a financial
expense I had not been ready to deal with just yet, but such was
necessary I felt, and thus did.
I am converting my home over to total solar power, and had to go ahead
and start the process due to politics of my situation. This delays my
training in Austin altogether and some of my visits to Waco this
month, though I will be going to Waco for Sabbath Study tommorrow.
Still much to do as yet today, and I want to Thank Wendi for posting
in my proxy, not only these greetings, but the studies, and especially
the daily bible Studies.
Things are coming together, and I hope to obtain work in the area
soon. The Shofar will sound in a few hours, by the time you read
this, it should have already sounded. IN just a few days, the 1st of
Sivan will be here, an additional Annual Sabbath, beginning a serious
time of reflection and leading to the holiest day of the year. On 1
Sivan, the shofar will sound many times throughout the day, in
accordance with scriptural mandate.
All of this will be covered in more detail in this weeks Sabbath
Study. I was going to sound the shofar and post a link for those of
you without a shofar, as it is commanded it should be sounded "in all
your dwellings" and we are not all in the same locale. You can use
this link however on the 1st of Sivan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jR20-0sy1Y
and play it loudly in your homes and throughout the day.
The cadence for shofar blowing consists of different sounds:
Tekiah A long Blast about 15 to 20 seconds, with low steady tone and
a sharp rising ending tone.
Shivarim 3 blasts, very loud, and you would recall them from the
sound of a "Battle cry" in some old movies
Teruah (or Terulah) 9 very quick stacato blasts, which are practices
as 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, to insure not blowing more or less than 9
times.
Sometimes there is a Shivarim-Terulah, which is merely a combo in same
order of the Shivarim, and the Teruah
the closing tone is always the same, and should be held for as long as
possible, usually no less than 1 minute, never less than 30 seconds if
possible, and requires the most practice, it is called, Tekia Gedolai
On the 1st of Sivan, or DAY OF TRUMPETS, the Shofar is blown 100
times, and throughout the day.
The cadence for these hundred blast, (approximate) is as follows...
TEKIAH
SHIVARIM-TERULAH

AS we enter into this month, we begin a serious time of reflection,
this timeframe, this celebration is very imporant, so much so that
upon the return of Christ, it is noted in prophecy, he will keep the
event as well.
But more on that in the Sabbath Study, to all coming here seeking the
truth of JAH" and his righteousness, Shalom, the peace of God be on
you, and may you find that you came here seeking, Happy Sabbath,
-Steven Benjamin
