(Contd from last post)
Upon addressing and gaining support for his actions from his constituents, Pharaoh commands more work be put upon the males.
In vs 12, underline the first statement and in your margins write “v12 1995 a.d.” as this indirectly plays into events which will be discussed later, which effect a type for other events prophecied later in scripture and those in turn interpreted and prophecied by David Koresh to a timeframe where the remnant of his followers would be scattered in 1995. This is not the passage he used to make such prediction, but it sets the type for the passage which we will see much later. It is important to note however, that in June of 1994, after months of trials, those survivors who were sent to prisons, for the first time were being scattered, but were not scattered the whole of 1994, as they were still in Texas for trial. 1995 would be the first complete year they were scattered. So to critics who would accuse David Koresh of being a “self Fulfilling Prophet” who manipulated the FBI and ATF into fulfilling his prophecies, the same critics some of whom also accuse David Koresh of being a retard, and at least one of whom documented and copyrighted a work in 1992 on this same subject in anticipation his word would fail…we see if they are correct, then a dummy, a retard, not only successfully manipulated the FBI and ATF into fulfilling his doomsday prophecies, but he somehow continued to do so beyond the grave, that two years after his death, he would manipulate the court systems and their timing and verdicts to then scatter the remnant of his followers, fulfilling yet another prophecy. You have to wonder if such is correct, who the bigger dummies are, those following One called a dummy, or those who keep saying “THAT DUMMY MANIPULATED US AGAIN!”
Me, I choose to believe David Koresh was indeed anointed of God. And later this passage will play into the events noted here, but we shall wait until we get much further along in study to address it in greater detail.
In vs 14 underline the 1st statement, the last in vs 16.
Underline all of vs 17 and in your margin write “Vs 17-in vs 8 and 17, we see that even though Moses and Aaron bungled the message they were sent to Give Pharaoh C.R. (Ex 3:18), we see that the Message God wanted to get across, did so.”
In Vs 20 underline “STOOD IN THE WAY”.
So we see between verses 12 to the end of chapter 5, greater persecution of the Hebrews, those Hebrews who were in charge of the others were beaten (vs14) because they failed to make their quotas. After which they go to Pharaoh and blame the Egyptians over them, saying “Why are you beating us for failing to make our quota, your people took away our straw” (vs 15-16), and Pharaoh calls them lazy and brings up the encounter with Moses and Aaron in vs 17. IN vs 18, Pharaoh again confirms they will be given no straw and tells them they better get their bricks made.
In vs 20 and 21, these Hebrew officers meet Moses and Aaron and accuse them and call for Judgement from God upon them, because now they have been beaten and further burdened, in their eyes because of the actions of Moses and Aaron.
In vs 22 and vs 23 we see something interesting. It is politically correct in this day, that stance published says “It is wrong to question God.” I don’t think that is correct at all, though I acknowledge many do, but just because thing is “Politically Corecct” does not mean it is “Actually Correct.” In Genesis we see Abraham try to Reason with God over Sodom And Gommorrah, in the Garden of Gethsemene, we see Christ Yehoshua, the Son of God himself express that he has a difference of opinion as he concedses his will in the events to come is different before finally saying “Never the Less, Not My Will but THINE.”
And now here in Verse 22 and 23, as we see the introduction to the next chapter, Moses not only accuses God of performing Evil, and by the way, God Confesses to being the Creator of Evil later in Scripture in Isaiah,( “I AM THE LORD GOD, I DO GOOD AND CREATE EVIL” Isa 45:5-7 Paraphrase mine), but here Moses actually accuses God of performing Evil against his people, and is he reprimanded for his action? NO, in verse 1 of chapter 6, God responds by Prophesying further to Moses against Pharaoh, but first he tells Moses in Chp 6 vs 1…”NOW YOU WILL SEE WHAT I AM GOING TO DO TO PHARAOH.”
Did God keep his word? Well we can say yes because we know the rest of the story. Hindsight is 20/20.
But Moses came accusing, why? Because he thought it would go down differently. He knew what God said, but he misunderstood it a bit. And even knowing what God said, when told to repeat a thing couldn’t get it right.
You see, God knew exactly how it would go down. He knew the Hebrews would be further persecuted and he was waiting for Moses to come with his accusations…and he says “NOW YOU WILL SEE WHAT I AM GOING TO DO.” You see there is another aspect about God’s Servants not often published. IT ‘s like God is spending as much time convincing Moses, as he later spends convincing Pharaoh and everyone else whom he sends Moses to. We seen when Moses Met God, he had very little faith. You know about God…you have heard about him all your life, can you honestly say you have met him?
I can. Moses can, but he couldn’t always. Sure, he grew up with the tales, He knew ABOUT GOD, he Knew OF GOD, but prior to the Burning Bush, did he KNOW GOD? No. But later, in Aarons Prescence, he could recount and event when he actually MET GOD, and when he did, he was told to do some stuff, and what did he say to God? “They will never believe me!” that is what he says. And before Moses ever goes to Aaron and the Hebrews and shows them Miracles, God has to perform the same Miracles in a private audience with Moses to convince him. He knows he has met God, knows what he has been told to do, knows that GOD HIMSELF has told him to do it, and he says…”THEY WILL NEVER BELIEVE ME” but what he was really saying was…”I don’t know if I believe this!” And God has to spend nearly as much effort in convincing his own servant, his messenger as he does those to whom his messenger will be sent.
