One easy way is to take a sample of her saliva from the roof of her mouth. Smoke residue would be present if she has smoked in the past week. The best method is to take a q-tip, dip the end in super glue, and rub softly for 10-15 seconds. Then dip the swab in rubbing alcohol, if it turns a slight green, she's been smoking.
Don't worry about using super glue, it can't stick to moist surfaces, and is actually organic anyway. It is often used in surgery. Hope this helps
