'Disgustingly Wonderful' - that probably sums up the feelings of a good 90% of new smokers, especially those who were formerly quite anti.
Have you had the talk with your wife about how long term it's likely if she carries on, she will not be able to just smoking 3-4 a day, and will need to steadily increase her smoking for a while to avoid feeling awful a good proportion of the time?
If her eyes are open and she's willing to eventually end up needing a pack or more a day if that's where few a day take her, then that's fine, but I think she needs to be made aware it's a strong possibility.
