Jenny, I hate to sound like I'm lecturing you, but you did ask if you would get addicted if you experimented with smoking for a while, and the answer has pretty universally* been a resounding 'YES' - now you have every right to ignore that advise if you wish, but why ask, then react as if the advice had been the opposite?
If you want to smoke, that's fine, I do too, so do most of us. If you want to get addicted, that's also fine, it's your choice, and being addicted to smoking, managed correctly can be a very enjoyable, satisfying condition, but please, please don't think it won't happen if you smoke regularly for even a few weeks, because it very probably will.
* Slightly surprisingly as I'd expected at least a few oddballs to tell you 'no it'll be fine', so they could get off on tricking you into getting addicted!
