Just spend some time talking to her, and if she seeems like a nice person, someone you could be friends with, be a friend to her - tell her she doesn't need to smoke to be friends, but if she want's to that's cool too.
Explain to her both the positive and neagtive things you've experienced with smoking, especially make sure she understands that she'll get addicted, and that it's her decision, and then if you want to be friends with her be helpful and supportive whichever way she decides.

: saw me smoking one time,
: and asked why I smoked
: to which I honestly
: answered. Well a few
: days ago I saw Giovanna
: in town, I was smoking,
: but was to see her
: trying to light a
: cigarette. I went to
: her, and she saw me she
: tried to hide her
: cigarette. I told her
: she didn't have to hide
: it, and helped her light
: her cigarette. She said
: this was her first time
: trying it, which was
: obvious. I asked why she
: was trying it she said
: that she is having alot
: of trouble in school and
: making friends, thought
: smoking may help. What
