Playing with strangers

I just started playing golf, been taking lessons and I'm finally out on the course. The only thing I hate about it is that I'm not ready to play with people I don't know, its not that I'm not frendly I just feel very intimated playing with some one I don't know, especially men they are the worse. How do I get over this.
