Hi Vicki, With the concern for "slow play" at most courses it is important to keep up with the group ahead of you. That does not mean hitting into that group with the possibility of hitting someone. So, it is important for you to know how far your ball carries. If you have one player in the group who typically is the short knocker, allow her to tee off first even though she may not have "the honor" and save the longer hitters for last. Pace of play is important to management and the group behind you.
