A reverse pivot is when the club swings in the direction of the target and the body falls back. This move often results in topping the ball, launching the ball too high with a lack of power and a shot that goes to the right for a right handed player. This common error is often the culprit of trying to "help" the ball get into the air, like trying to lift the ball. Remember that the body and club should travel in the same direction. The club and body move together in the backswing and together in the forward swing. This allows for maximum power and distance.
