Dear Patricia, As an LPGA Teaching Professional I get asked these questions all the time. When will it all make sense, when will it be easy, when will I play withour being embarrassed? It sounds like you are in the same place as everyone who was ever a beginner! It's not a race! Learning takes time and patience to install new beliefs and motor skills. Close your eyes for a moment and ask your self this question..."is golf hard or easy?" If you answered "hard" then you need to think about golf differently to get out of the jail you have created for yourself. Think about this....a golf ball weighs less than an egg and a golf club weighs less than a loaf of bread...now think about your answer to the previous question, is golf hard or easy?...does your new information make swinging a club less difficult? Okay, enough of the "Zen".....before you begin any new task we must first have a belief system that supports what we want in order to achieve success. Modeling efficient swings and having information that supports you will assist you in getting over the fear and misunderstandings of the game. Please consider attending one of my golf school programs at www.pros2gogolf.com. It will change the way you think about and play golf. Good Luck and don't give up!!!
