It Ain't An Information Revolution If You Can't See It!

So I finally picked up a hand me down computer from my parents that is a replacement of my REALLY old computer from yore.
I've been looking forward to it for weeks.
I hook it up and BANG...it doesn't work. With the help of my trusty girlfriend we figured out that the crappy monitor I had couldn't handle the info so we adjusted the color scheme, now it looks worse than my old computer did.
Solution: Get a new monitor. Anybody get any spare change to help a monitorless man? Alls I want is a monitor, I promise I won't spend it on booze...
