Just a gripe about the Oswego County Dept of Tourism Fishing Report Page. I have been faithfully reading this page for the last month and a half. It is updated on Tuesdays and Fridays. Under the Salmon River report, for the last month or so, it has always said there were few fish in the river, the water was low, and not many fish were being caught as of yet. HOWEVER, in the very next sentence it always says... THE DOUGLASTON SALMON RUN (or DSR) reports lots of fish throughout the DSR, with all anglers catching lots of fish. It seems to me that this is an OUTRIGHT LIE. As far as I know, the local charters, drift boats, guides, etc. make the reports for the river, and all say super slow. But then the DSR says they have tons of fish ????? Is this an attempt to make more money for the DSR ???? Does is still cost to fish in the DSR, I remember hearing all the flak about the DSR years ago, but have been out of the loop for the last three or four years. Could someone out there with the RIGHT CREDENTIALS, like a GUIDE, a DRIFT BOAT GUIDE, etc. please give us the correct info. Thanks for your time to point out this difference of opinion. GOOD LUCK FISHING TO ALL Thanks, Skip
