Broad Horizons Guide ServiceThis past weekend we fished some smallies up north for the opening weekend. It was a nice day and a half with 5 minutes of rain. The fish were cooperative too. Sticks in a gold color and rattle traps worked best but we even caught them on a Pheobe that I randomly put on and the 6 yr old caught a nice one trolling a plain gob of nightcrawler. 20 or so fish, most keeper size up to 2.5 pounds. Next trip we're going to try for the splake.
