Back in New York and it is cool. The water temperature was 56.4F early on Saturday morning and the fishing was steady. You could notice the increased activity as the temperature rose. By mid afternoon many big fish had moved shallower and the overall bite was very good.
When we quit in the late afternoon the temperature was close to 60 and the fishing was great. Cooler nights have dropped the water temperature back to 57.4 and the fish activity follows this move.
Some panfish are moving shallow and with people putting in their docks and hoists, the fish are relating to this new structure.
Get out on the water but don't leave safety on shore. Wear your life jacket.
Wacky rigged baits fished slow seemed to fool the majority of the bass.
