I have fished Keuka,Honeoye, Conesus and Canandaigua the past two weeks and done well one day and two days later struggled. The weather has been warm during the day and cold at night so the fishing has been marginal. Some of the bass have bedded and others haven't started. We have caught a good mix of LM and SM.
Even the pike fishing has been off a little, with more follows than strikes. Some of the deeper lakes are still in the upper fifties and the smaller lakes in the mid sixties.
All of the fishing, including panfish, gets better in the afternoon.
With the cooler water, be sure to wear your life jacket. It may not look cool but it can save your life.
