numa marengo and his buddy gregory .they are both from south france. this was numa and gregs first time fishing for smallmouth bass. casting and verticle jigging green pumpkin, melon pepper prowler tubes in 29 to 34 ft produced some giat smallmouth . numa hooked into a 7.2 pound slob along with several low to mid five pound fish .greg also caught some big smallies,5.10 was his best .these fish are in a staging area were they come to rest and eat after spawning.finding isolated rock piles is the key . humminbirds side view graph is the unit for finding the deep water structure.both numa and greg had smiles ear to ear all day . you do not get many days on the water that produce big fish all day . carp and northern pike is a common fish to catch in france.
