The Brady party joined use from Conn. for a absolutely beautiful day on the Big C. Weather couldn't have been nicer! The winds where light and just enough to keep it cool as the days high of 80 and the cooperating bass made it a day to remember!
Dad got a spankin' as the Young One showed him how to catch a dozen Largemouth, up to 3 and 1/2 lbs on Black Power worms worked along the weed edges and pockets, in 8-10 feet of water in the Ticonderoga Area. The memory etched in his mind though, will be of the two behemoth Smallmouth that got off at the boat-side after showing there colors, jumping completely out of the water at first light.
Don't feel bad for Dad, he caught several, but not as many or as big, as his son repeatedly reminded him throughout the day.
The bass fishing has simply been wonderful on the big C and will only improve as the weeds grow denser as Summer is finally arriving.
Give me a call if you want to stretch a few lines and smiles across your face as you experience some fantastic bass action on Champlain!
