The smallmouth fishing has been strong. With all the spawning activity long gone, the fish have moved into their summer patterns. They are relating to the inside and outside grassline, especially areas with hard bottom. They are willing to chase a jerkbait or small swimbait (money minnow). The usual summer tubejig bit is great outside the grass, and on top of humps. If you come across a lone pile of grass in the main lake, chuck a topwater over it to fire up the school, and then follow up with a tube or dropshot.
