Fished on Keuka August 2nd and got a mix of largemouth and smallmouth bass. The largemouth were caught on watermelon stikos and the smallmouth fell for tubes and a drop shot rig. We also caught a couple of pickerel and a bushel of rockies.
Honeoye was very good for panfish on Monday. Gills and sunnies were hitting both live and artificial baits in 18 to 20 foot of water. The bass were turned off on Tuesday but we managed to catch a few. Once again the weather seemed to be a factor.
Wednesday evening was calm and cool with lots of action. The bass had turned back on and Allen and Marion managed to catch at least 20 in three hours. Most were caught on watermelon stikos and at dusk we switched to topwater and popped a few.
Good fishing,
Frank
