Hi Chris We missed you at the club meeting on Saturday. LOL That amount of free-play does not sound excessive. Remember, when one wheel is on the ground and the other is in the air, the spider gears will double the amount that the wheel in the air will turn. This is for an open or limited slip differential. Lockers are a different matter. Sounds like you found a great buy on a decent rig. I hope that you get all of the kinks worked out of it. Bye, Kevin
