I've alwasy been told that if Weber's sit for more then 60 days the seals dry out and need to be replaced. When I got my 2F with a 38mm DGAS Weber it sat for several months before I got it running, well sorta running. I got an overhaul kit from JT Outfitters and 20 minutes later it ran like a top. The obvious checks are a vacuum leak, blocked fuel filter(s) or lines, bad fuel pump. Chilton publishes a book for tuning the Weber which was very helpful to me. I know some of the guys here run the Aisin (sp) carbs and are very happy with them also.
